At the end of last year, the Splin Group suffered multi-million dollar losses instead of profits, according to the Mash Telegram channel.
According to the Telegram channel, the group, which has not performed in Russia recently, recorded a loss of 24.5 million rubles in 2023. Moreover, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the musicians earned between 100 and 150 million rubles.
“All because of the scandalous behaviour of the artist Alexander Vasiliev, who left for Spain.” – the publication states.
In August 2022, at the Chernozem festival in the Voronezh region, Vasiliev supported the musicians who fled the country and expressed confidence that one day they would definitely return, reinforcing the lyrics with the song “No Exit”. The live broadcast of the performance of “Spleen” was interrupted and then cut out of the video recording of the event.
After that, the group’s concert in Arkhangelsk was cancelled four times, and the group was also excluded from participating in the Wind of Siberia festival at the Mochishche airfield near Novosibirsk. Activists of the Parents’ Union of the Novosibirsk Region complained about the team.
