In the Kursk region, so-called “maneuver battles” are being fought, in which the key role is played by the ability to control troops against the background of a lack of fortifications, said military expert, reserve colonel of the Armed Forces from Ukraine Roman Svitan in a comment to Channel 24.
He explained that the successful conduct of such operations requires reliable communications and precise control of troop movements to avoid defeat by own fire. According to the expert, the Russian army has serious problems in this area.
Svitan also noted that the Ukrainian side effectively uses electronic warfare (EW) systems, thanks to which command and control remains resistant to Russian attempts to suppress communications. At the same time, the Russian military is less likely to control its units, leading to numerous cases of destruction by their own fire, something even Russian military bloggers mention.
Additionally, Svitan mentioned the recent successful attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the occupiers’ training camp in Zaporozhye. For this, M30A1 missiles were used, the targeting of which was carried out using the Shark reconnaissance complex.
This complex allows not only to identify targets, but also to adjust fire, making it an effective tool for operational control. The attack on the training ground covered an area the size of a football field, including the landing zone, causing significant damage to the enemy.
