In northern Germany, a man attacked passers-by with a knife and injured four people, reports Tagesschau.
The attack occurred on the afternoon of October 19 in the city of Fallstedt, in the federal state of Lower Saxony. Three men, aged 18, 66 and 73, and a 48-year-old woman were injured.
According to local newspaper Peiner Allgemeine Zeitung, the victims were “sweeping the sidewalk” or “were in the front garden” at the time of the attack. The police clarified that their lives are not in danger.
The attacker, a 32-year-old man, allowed law enforcement to arrest him without resistance, says Tagesschau. According to the publication, during the interrogations the police began to suspect that the detainee could be “mentally ill.”
