The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Sunday, October 20, that the death toll from airstrikes in the northern Gaza Strip has been exaggerated.
Shortly before, Al Watan newspaper, citing the enclave’s Health Ministry, reported that at least 81 people were killed due to the Israeli airstrike.
The IDF press office responded by saying that the casualty figures provided by the radical Palestinian movement Hamas “are exaggerated and do not correspond to the information the IDF has about the type of ammunition used and the degree of accuracy.”
“(The IDF) will continue to examine information disseminated by Hamas sources and ask the media to treat it with caution,” – reports the telegram channel of the press service.
