Two earthquakes occurred in the Caspian Sea

On October 19, 2024, two earthquakes were recorded in the Caspian Sea seven hours apart. This was reported by zakon.kz.

According to the Republican Center of Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, the first earthquake of magnitude 3.1 occurred on October 19 at 01:02 local time. The second is at 08:47.

Both epicenters were located at a depth of 68 kilometers.

It was previously reported that an earthquake was recorded in the southwest of Almaty on the night of October 19, 2024. The epicenter was located in the territory of Uzbekistan, 669 kilometers from the southern capital of Kazakhstan.
