The statue of the world famous American actor Jean-Claude Van Damme in the village of Vandam in the Gabala region was removed.
The mayor of the town, Asif Hashimov, confirmed this information to Ekonomiyyat.az.
According to him, the removal of the statue is related to the construction of the road:
“In connection with the construction of an important highway for the Republic, the statue was removed from there. Because the monument was located in the protection lane of the highway. Therefore, it was removed from that area and will be placed in a place protected.”
