Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, if he wins the election, could demand that Russian President Vladimir Putin withdraw troops from Ukraine.
This opinion was expressed by the former special representative of the US State Department for Ukraine. Kurt Walkerspoke yesterday at the 10th kyiv Forum on Youth Security.
“Maybe not immediately after the election, but Trump can call Putin and demand the withdrawal of troops, for example, before January 20.” – he suggested.
The former special envoy believes Trump will act in a way that avoids the reputational costs of Ukraine’s military defeat.
