Which airlines are expanding flight cancellations to Israel?

Due to the current volatile security situation, many airlines are expanding flight cancellations to Israel.

Israel Hayom reports this.

US airlines extend their restrictions: United Airlines is canceling flights indefinitely and Delta Airlines and American Airlines will not fly to Israel until the end of March 2025. This leaves El Al as the only airline operating direct flights between the United States and Israel.

European airlines are also taking action: KLM has no plans to return to Israel until the end of the year and Lufthansa has suspended flights until November 10. Croatia Airlines and Air India have canceled flights until further notice. Vueling will not fly to Israel until January 2025, and Ryanair has suspended its flights until the end of 2024, with a possible resumption only in April. Cathay Pacific extends the pause until March 27, 2025 and Air Baltic until November 30. Air Canada has suspended flights until the end of the year.

Some airlines have already confirmed the extension of the bans: Transavia cancels flights until March 31, 2025, Wizz Air until January 14 and easyJet until at least March 29, 2025. Iberia Express has extended its suspension until October 31 and ITA Airways will stop flying throughout the month of November. LOT will temporarily suspend flights until November 12 and Aegean Airlines will suspend flights until November 6. Emirates, Korean Air and TAP Air Portugal have not given a clear timeline for the resumption.

At the same time, some airlines have already resumed their flights: These include TAROM, El Al, Arkia, Hainan Airlines, TUS Airways, Bluebird Airways, Corendon Airlines, Uzbek Airways and others. Air Seychelles is also expected to resume flights from October 21.

The situation remains dynamic and the timing of flight resumption depends on developments in the region.

Previously “Cursor” wrote that El Al is preparing a profitable offer for its clients.

Passengers in all El Al travel classes (classic, light and flexible) can take advantage of this offer.
