This morning, the Civil Guard intercepted 17 migrants who arrived by boat on the island of Formentera, reported the Government Delegation of the Balearic Islands.
The people were located at 4:30 a.m. on the road that connects La Savina to Pilar de la Mola (PM-820), more precisely at kilometer number 6 of the road.
The migrants are all of Maghreb origin and appear to be in good health.
With this new landing, so far in 2024, 2,651 immigrants have arrived in the Balearic Islands on board 161 boats, surpassing last year’s figures, according to the count. Efe.
In 2023, 128 boats carrying 2,278 migrants reached the islands.
