“There is no motive” behind this crime

The 17-year-old boy who murdered his parents and younger brother on Sunday in the family home near Milan (northern Italy) has confessed that he had “no real motive” to commit the crime.

The minor felt a “foreign body” within the family, which “oppressed” him. and he thought that with the death of all he would have been “freed from this scourge”, as he revealed to the juvenile prosecutor’s office and the carabinieri (militarized police). However, “I realized a minute later that killing them wouldn’t set me free.”he argued, in statements collected by Efe.
