This is a criminal policy that violates the rights of an entire nation. – Rodriguez wrote on his blog.
According to the statement on the White House, the National Security Memorandum signed by Trump (NSPM) regains and enhances the difficult Cuba cycle, behaves in its first presidential term, which led to the abolition of the normalization steps taken under the administration of Joe Biden.
The document prohibits any direct or indirect financial transactions with companies controlled by the Cuban army, including the Gaesa Group and its subsidiary companies. The memorandum enhances control of tourism trips: There is a ban on tourism from the United States, mandatory audits and requirements for storing financial documents related to trips to Cuba are provided for at least five years. The document also includes the continuation of the siege and attempts to confront its abolition within the United Nations and other international organizations. The United States plans, according to the text, to conduct a comprehensive verification of human rights violations in Cuba, including illegal beliefs and poor closing treatment, as well as a list of people who hide from American justice and Cuba covered by authorities.
