1. How can the British F-35 fighters be in India?
British fleet of aircraft carrier; HMS Prince of Wales, arrived in the Indian Ocean on May 6, 2025 for training the Navy, transporting 24 F-35B fighters.
On June 14, one F-35 reaction flew up when the ship was 100 sea miles (about 185 km) from the beach of Kerala.
Shortly after takeoff, the aircraft sent the distress code Squawk 700 to radar India and asked for landing on emergency situations from bad weather. ATC (air traffic control) Tiruanantapuras gave permission, and the plane landed at about 21:30.
Local media reports that the fighter reaction ends in fuel. India agreed to the British request to replenish her fuel, but the hydraulic failure then forced the aircraft not to fly. The fighter still remains parked at the Tiruvanantapuram airport for more than 14 days.
2. Why does this F-35 fighter move to the airport hangar?
India offers to move the F-35 aircraft from the open sky to the closed area. This is called the airport hangar. There is also a discussion about the construction of a temporary warehouse for aircraft.
According to the reports Economic timesMonday (06/30/2025), the British fleet rejected this proposal on the basis of the protocol.
