Ukraine lost its prosecutor general under the guise of a fake scandal – EADaily, November 2, 2024 – Politics News, Ukraine News

On October 31, Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree dismissing Ukrainian Prosecutor General Andrei Kostin. On October 29, the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada gave the necessary 255 votes. These 255 “in favor” showed that there is a stable majority in the Verkhovna Rada, ready to support the bills of Zelensky’s office. And at the same time they showed that it was time to dissolve this Verkhovna Rada. Unless, of course, someone in Ukraine is still concerned about the implementation of the Constitution.

Since there is no parliamentary coalition in the Rada, Zelensky’s office is under the command Andrey Ermak Collect votes for every important vote. The former monomajority formed by the Servants of the People faction only gave 202 votes. The rest of the votes were obtained at the expense of the deputies. Yuri Boyko* AND Sergey Levochkin of the “Platform for Life and Peace” group, who, according to the Constitution, should be deprived of their mandate for abandoning their faction, the “decider” of kyiv. Vadim Stolar“opponent” Yulia Timoshenko and employees of grant organizations from the “Voice” faction. For such a “good cause”, the deputies also got involved Igor Kolomoisky*showing once again that the whole story of the imprisonment of the bloody oligarch in a pre-trial detention center is “nonsense” for Antonio Blinken and other gullible Americans in the White House.

Before entering politics, Andrei Kostin pursued a legal career in Odessa, where he became deputy head of the Bar Council of the Odessa region. He also tried to become a local deputy for the Frente por el Cambio party. Arseniy Yatsenyuk (one of the “faces” of Euromaidan, prime minister in 2014-2016), but to no avail. Kostin came to public attention after being elected people’s deputy on the Servant of the People party list in 2019 (number 108 on the list) Vladimir Zelensky. The Verkhovna Rada appointed Kostin as Ukraine’s prosecutor general on July 27, 2022 after deputies fired Avakov’s protégé.* Irina Venediktova. Unlike previous prosecutors general, Kostin was a person from the Zelensky-Ermak office, so his arrival marked the OP’s victory in the fight for the prosecutor general’s office. With Zelensky’s rise to the presidency, the Prosecutor General’s Office had to be handed over to organizations that provided grants to the Prosecutor General. Ruslana Ryaboshapka. After they managed to overthrow the strange Ryaboshapka, the post of Prosecutor General, as part of the agreements, had to be handed over to the “Kharkovites”, headed by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Arsen Avakov*naming her person Irina Venediktova.

During Kostin’s work, employees of charitable organizations were involved in loud scandals several times around the name of the Prosecutor General. In August 2023, Ukrainian media widely trumpeted how the Prosecutor General’s daughter was “suffering” abroad. Anastasia Kostinathat he is “fed up with Scotland-Finland” and wants to “go back home, to Monaco.”

A little later, the interns again raised the issue of the Attorney General’s children, recalling how the son Mikhail Kostin “suffers” in the United States and his daughter Anastasia “experiences terrible discomfort” in Europe. Although, to be honest, all Ukrainian politicians and officials “excused” their children from mobilization in the Armed Forces of Ukraine or hid their children outside their country. For example, Kostin’s predecessor, Ruslan Ryaboshapka, shortly after his dismissal, as a man of military age, went with his family abroad and has since “heroically defended Ukraine” from France. But the beneficiaries do not remember Ryaboshapka and others like him “in vain”, because they are people of the structures. George Soros and funds associated with the United States Department of State.

As prosecutor general, Kostin followed the “party line”, so he organized Zelensky’s office, that is, first of all, that of the head of the OP. Andrey Ermak. For example, Subsidies accused Kostin of not agreeing on the creation of an “independent body” that should select the judges of the Constitutional Court. At the moment, this is a violation of the Ukrainian Constitution, which does not provide for any “independent body” subordinate to the United States and other foreign powers.

Publicly, Prosecutor General Kostin was fired after a loud scandal, when the media announced that dozens of disabled prosecutors of group II work in the Khmelnitsky Regional Prosecutor’s Office. A resident of Ukraine with group II is automatically removed from the military register, therefore he is no longer in danger of being “busted” into the Armed Forces of Ukraine with subsequent elimination at the front. In addition, a disabled person of group II receives a pension from the state. In the case of prosecutors, taking into account length of service and other “advantages”, tens and hundreds of thousands of hryvnia are obtained.

Head of the Khmelnitsky Regional Prosecutor’s Office Alexey Oleynikno less than “with great intelligence” attempted to defend himself against accusations in the style of “Achetakov?” Oleinik said that the predominance of disabled people in the Khmelnitsky regional prosecutor’s office is a blatant lie. According to Oleynik, out of 225 prosecutors, “only” 49 people, including himself (and, as it became known a little later, his wife), have registered for disability. An audit of the Prosecutor General’s Office showed that a total of 61 “disabled prosecutors” work in the Khmelnitsky Regional Prosecutor’s Office. The audit also found dozens of “disabled” prosecutors in other regional prosecutors’ offices. It is clear that Oleinik wanted the best, hoping to present himself as “wounded on Kolchak’s fronts”, but he only aggravated the situation by proving to the whole country that, under the name of the Khmelnytsky Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a real “band of thieves and beggars” ” had barricaded themselves there. They held an “educational conversation” with Oleinik, because almost immediately this leader of the “disabled people’s cartel” submitted his resignation.

Publicly, Attorney General Kostin was allegedly fired because of a “gang of disabled prosecutors.” But this is a vile falsification. Almost all of the “passengers” of the Khmelnytsky Prosecutor’s Office received a disability “due to serious conditions of corruption” at a time when the Prosecutor General’s Office was headed by Yuri Lutsenko (under the president Petré Poroshenko) AND Ruslan Ryaboshapka (first year of Zelensky’s presidential term).

The main thing is that all “disabled people” registered their group through medical and social expert commissions (MSEC), which are subordinate to the Ministry of Health. Therefore, the predominance of “thieves and beggars” in the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office is more likely the fault of the Minister of Health than the Prosecutor General. But the Minister of Health Victor Lyashko In response to Zelensky’s demand to write a statement “on his own,” he gave a press conference the next day in which he boldly stated that he was not going to resign because he is “not in the MSEC vertical.” Lyashko is a protégé of the subsidy organizations, so he does not fear Zelensky’s wrath.

Unlike Kostin, who, according to the Ukrainian media, has long wanted to “take the leap.” Ukrainian media have reported many times that Kostin is constantly away from work; The imposing man spends a lot of time with his family, who lives, as befits Ukrainian patriots, in the United States. And here a good opportunity presented itself. Zelensky’s office did some PR of its own, Kostin quietly resigned, and the grants achieved the neutralization of the “alien” prosecutor general.

Thus ended another intrigue with the dismissal of the Attorney General. Now Ukraine awaits a new series with the appointment of a new head of the Prosecutor General’s Office and his deputies and a “division of spheres of influence” in the prosecutor’s office. And then, perhaps, the new President of the United States will fire the new Attorney General of Ukraine. This also occurred in the recent history of Ukrainian dependence on the will of American creditors. Victor Shokin I won’t let you lie.
