Today’s weather on Tuesday, April 22, 2025: it is predicted that the morning sky Jabodetabek will be cloudy

The Climatology and Geophysics Meteorology Agency calls people to know about the potential for rain with severe intensity to sudden density in a number of Indonesia regions, including Western Java, next week on April 11-17, 2025.

The director of BMKG Public Meteorology Andri Ramadhani explained that a number of regions in Indonesia will still be faced with a significant potential amount of precipitation, especially in the southern and eastern parts.

“This condition is supported by the active phenomenon of MJO spatially, as well as the influence of atmospheric waves, such as Rossby’s equatorial waves, Kelvin’s waves and low -frequency waves,” he said in a written statement on Friday, April 11, 2025.

The combination of these factors, according to Andri, increases the potential for the formation of significant convective clouds in most Indonesia.

“On the other hand, several regions in Indonesia also began to enter the transitional season (transition) from the rain season to the dry season,” he said.

Andri explained that during this period the weather, as a rule, was diversity and dynamic with the potential for the rain, which could still arise suddenly, accompanied by a strong wind and lightning or lightning in the afternoon or evening.

“For this reason, people are recommended to be aware of weather changes, which, as a rule, are relatively faster, as well as about various significant spatial weather conditions in order to influence the uninterrupted work of activity in the community,” he said.

As for the potential of this extreme weather, BMKG called on the public to stay away from open platforms during the rain, accompanied by lightning, and also stay away from trees, buildings and infrastructure, which were fragile during the rain, accompanied by a strong wind.

“Be careful with slippery roads that can endanger security. We are ready to encounter the potential of hydrometeorological disasters, such as floods, sudden floods and landslides that can occur at any time, ”said Andri.
