“Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan” (IEA, the proper name given to the country by the Taliban)*) is on the verge of a diplomatic breakthrough in relations with other countries. This was stated by IEA Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi, who arrived in Turkey after the conclusion of the OIC meeting in Cameroon, TOLOnews reports.
“We have recently achieved significant success in the diplomatic field. The United Arab Emirates welcomed our ambassador, Uzbekistan welcomed our ambassador, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan welcomed our chargé d’affaires, and there are other countries where, by the will of Allah, we will witness transformations in the near future.” – said Muttaqi.
He added that the activities of the Afghan diplomatic missions in the EU designated under the regime Ashraf Ghanihas lost its importance due to the lack of interaction with Kabul. He also asked the staff of the IEA consulate in Istanbul to pay attention to the Afghans.
“All our compatriots living in Turkey, whether for emigration or business reasons, have the consulate and the embassy as a common home. When someone goes home and is not respected in his own home, he will suffer.”
Earlier, Mouttaqi, speaking at a meeting of foreign ministers of OIC member countries in Yaounde, called on all Islamic countries to work towards lifting sanctions on the Islamic Emirate and strengthening relations with it.
