BANGKOK – The Thai Constitutional Court canceled the Prime Minister of Patetongthangan Shinavatra from his position on Tuesday (1/7/2025), waiting for the investigation of ethics in connection with the leakage of phone calls with the senior leader of Cambodia. The judges voted on Tuesday to get a petition that accused him of violating ethics.
The judges voted 7–2 to harm them from their duties as the main ministers.
The court gave Patongtar for 15 days to provide evidence that supported his case.
Paetongtarn was faced with more discontent with its processing of the latest border disputes with Cambodia, which included armed confrontation on May 28, which led to the death of the Cambodian soldier.
A leak of telephone calls when he participated in diplomacy with the chairman of the Senate Cambodia Hong Saint, caused a series of complaints and public protests.
