Within the framework of the Western Azerbaijan Chronicle project, the next edition of the column “Our Heritage” has been prepared, presented by Doctor of Philosophy in Art Studies Elchin Alibeyli.
Oku.Az He reports that in the issue “The churches of Zangezur are written with the names of Turkish people”, artifact researcher Sabit Gurbanov talks about the seals that exist in Zangezur and in the Darelayaz district.
According to him, the traces of the Turkish tribes spread throughout the Caucasus. The seals found from Crimea to Turkestan belong to the Khazars. The discovered marks are symbols of the Oguz tribes. On the territory of Azerbaijan, seals belong to the Khazarian, Kipchak and Oghuz Turkish branches. The same Gobustan seals exist in the Mangistau region of Kazakhstan. Among the Gobustan seals there are also Nogai signs.
S. Gurbanov finally said that this clarifies the writing of the Salur seal in the Selim caravanserai in the Darelayaz district, the fact that the Jewish cemetery in this area belongs to the Khazar tribes and the writing of Turkish personal names in the churches of District of Zangezur.
It should be remembered that the objective of the Western Azerbaijan Chronicle project is to preserve and promote the name of our historical lands, as well as to learn about the deportation of Azerbaijanis by the Armenians, the toponyms that existed in those territories, but their names. Countless examples of underground and surface material culture have been erased: ancient settlements, necropolises, tumuli, remains of castles, palaces and fortifications, caravansaries, bridges, tomb chests, statues of horses and rams, temples. The discovery of churches, mosques, pyres and homes is intended to convey to the world community the facts confirming that the area is a pure Oghuz-Turkish settlement.
Also the president Ilham Aliyev Regarding Western Azerbaijan, he said: “The map of the beginning of the 20th century shows once again that Western Azerbaijan is the historical land of Azerbaijan, the names of cities and towns are of Azerbaijani origin and we know very well that Azerbaijanis on the territory of present-day Armenia throughout history people have lived. Now the main task is for the world community to also know it”, – in his opinion, it is about promoting the duties that arise from the Concept of Return developed by him. the Community of West Azerbaijan.
Furthermore, it aims to illuminate the thoughts of historians and researchers about Western Azerbaijan and the life history of the people who were deported.
