A new episode of Baku TV’s “Global Panorama” program has been broadcast.
In this edition of the program we talked about educational diplomacy.
It was noted that education is a powerful tool for developing international cooperation, increasing mutual understanding and promoting cultural exchange. Through education it is possible to establish relationships with different nations, thus changing the global diplomatic landscape. This form of diplomacy involves the strategic use of educational programs to achieve foreign policy objectives.
It was highlighted that major higher education institutions such as ADA University, Franco-Azerbaijani University, Baku Higher Petroleum School and Baku State University have established extensive international collaborative relationships. These relationships allow Azerbaijani students and academics to participate in exchange programs, joint research projects, obtain diplomas from world-renowned institutions, and thus obtain dual diplomas.
It was added that the creation of the Karabakh University in Khankendi after the liberation of the territories of Azerbaijan from the occupation of Armenia indicates the official Baku’s plans to use education as a tool for peace and development.
This new university aspires to become a regional center of higher education by having faculties of pedagogy, arts, humanities and social sciences, economics, engineering and tourism. It is expected to strengthen international alliances and offer scholarships to attract students from other countries in the region.
