Dividends from the first week of November which can still be “hunted”

The penultimate month of the year begins and investors will be able to enjoy several joys in terms of shareholder remuneration in the Spanish calendar. CaixaBank and Ence will be the first to distribute their payments, on November 7 and it is still possible to benefit from both remunerations since the deadline for both companies is also the same: November 5. The investor must therefore have the securities before this day to be able to recover them. Both payments have already been confirmed, with profitability of 1.15% for the pulp company compared to current levels and 2.6% for the banking entity.

It was last Thursday that the board of directors of CaixaBank approved the distribution of an interim dividend of 40% of the profit for the first half of 2024. This will imply a payment of 1,070 million euros in November, or 0, 15 euros per share. The entity also made public a fifth share buyback program for a maximum amount of 500 million euros which will begin on November 19 – the bank does not specify the date – and will last six months. From 2022, share buybacks will amount to 3.8 billion.

This announcement accompanied the third quarter results of the entity now chaired by Tomás Muniesa, following the resignation presented this week by its previous president, José Ignacio Goirigolzarri. Thus, CaixaBank follows the positive trend in the Spanish banking sector and announces an increase in profits of 16%. The entity recorded profits of 4.248 million euros until September thanks to increased commercial activity.

The results of this period for Ence were also more than positive, achieving a net profit of 40.8 million until September compared to the losses of 28.2 million recorded in the same period of the previous year. During the presentation of the results, the firm also confirmed the distribution of the November interim dividend against the 2024 results of 0.033 euros gross per share.

Ferrovial’s dividend deadline is also set for November (the 6th in Europe and the 7th in the United States), although the payment will be made later. The company announced a few days ago that it would distribute a total of 330 million euros in December as part of a new flexible dividend program, through which shareholders will be able to choose between receiving the dividend in cash or in shares news from November 8 to 22. of the same month. The payment of the dividend in cash and the delivery of the new shares, with settlement of fractional shares in cash if applicable, will take place “from December 13”, they specify in a note to the CNMV. The dividend would offer a yield of 1.2%.

In anticipation

In addition to these distributions, analysts also expect other payments for the first days of November which are not yet confirmed. The consensus predicts that Alantra will distribute its remuneration on November 8, with profitability currently reaching 3.9%. Also among these November forecasts is Línea Directa, which will distribute a dividend of 0.002 euros gross per share, which offers a yield of 0.2%.
