China has launched another batch of remote sensing satellites, the Yaogan-43, Xinhua news agency reported.
According to the agency, the launch took place at 09:22 (04:22 Moscow time) from the Xichang Cosmodrome (southwest of Sichuan Province). The devices were launched into orbit using the Long March-4B (“Changzheng-4-bi”) launch vehicle.
They are intended for scientific experimentation, research into terrestrial resources, evaluation of agricultural production, and disaster prevention and mitigation. They will also be used to test new technologies by creating constellations of satellites in low orbit.
The current launch was the 533rd of the Long March series of launch vehicles.
