He Valencian Institute of Modern Art (IVAM) presents its educational program and proposals for families for the next academic year 2024-2025 on September 5 at 11:00 a.m. during a day intended for teachers, families, mediation professionals and people interested in education in general.
Participants in this day will be able to learn more about educational and family proposals IVAM with new features such as visits for adults accompanied by their babies, a fine arts school for grandchildren and grandparents, a dance activity for early childhood education and the first cycle of primary school, the “Juguetoría” workshop aimed for the first time at girls and children from 0 to 3 years old from nursery schools and specialized visits for groups and university centers that welcome English-speaking students.
After the presentation of the museum’s specialist publications, the presentation day will end with a exchange of ideas during the coffee break and visit of the room that houses the medieval enclosure of José Ferrandis, archaeologist who participated in its recent renovation. The IVAM will issue a certificate of attendance at the presentation to interested persons.
The IVAM 2024-2025 educational program is committed to activities carried out in the classroom around the exhibitions, training actions for teachers and experiences designed for Carmen Quartersuch as “L’Extraordinari!”, which proposes to break with the classic conception of extracurricular activity, or the traveling school library which is expanding this year to other municipalities and districts of the city.
Among the consolidated proposals, “Els Grans de l’IVAM” stands out, a program aimed at people over 65 who wish to continue learning about contemporary art, creative processes and museums. The registration period for the activities of the educational program aimed at the school community is open from July 15.
