In Kazakhstan, the activities of a criminal group involved in the sale of children have been stopped

Officers of the Department for Combating Organized Crime (UBOP) of the Police Department (PD) of Alma-Ata region have stopped the activities of a criminal group trafficking in newborns and minors, the DP press service reports.

According to law enforcement officials, this became known on August 25. Upon checking the information, it turned out that there is a criminal group on the social network “surak.baribar” that is engaged in criminal activities under the pretext of legal adoption of minors and newborns.

“On August 28, during operational search activities, employees of the regional Department for Control of Organized Crime identified a 38-year-old suspect, originally from the Kyzylorda region,” – the police said.

A criminal case has been initiated in connection with this incident. The suspect has been arrested. An investigation is currently underway.
