The 10th International Scientific and Practical Conference of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the 2nd Conference of the Scientific Advisory Council under the Counter-Terrorism Centers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) will be held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, on September 4-5, 2024.

The conference is expected to be attended by delegations of the competent authorities of the SCO and CIS countries, working structures of CIS bodies and international organizations, including educational and scientific-analytical organizations.
The UN, the CIS, Interpol and other influential organizations and institutions are also expected to participate in the conference.
The main objective of the conference is to exchange best practices in the fight against terrorism and extremism, to develop measures to enhance international cooperation in this field, and to form common understandings and approaches of participants to new challenges and threats to security.
In addition, the State Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan will hold the anti-terrorist exercise “Antiterror East – 2024” with the joint participation of the CIS Anti-Terrorist Center and the competent authorities of the CIS countries.
The purpose of the training is to improve the activities of the competent authorities of the CIS member states during the implementation of joint anti-terrorist measures to identify and prevent terrorist acts at important infrastructure facilities and crowded places.
