Jerez de la Frontera asks the central government to declare a catastrophic zone by DANA

The mayor of Jerez, María José García-Pelayo, Last Saturday, November 2, he sent a letter to the Sub-delegation of the Government in Cádiz in which it requests that this city of Cádiz be included, during the Council of Ministers to be held next Tuesday, among the areas to be declared seriously affected. a civil protection emergency, what is commonly called a disaster zone declaration.

“Knowing that next Tuesday the Council of Ministers will be held for the purpose of examining the areas to be declared seriously affected by a civil protection emergency and, without prejudice to proceeding in accordance with the provisions of the aforementioned regulations, the General Administration of the State, through the Subdelegation of the Government in Cádiz, theinclude the entire municipal area of ​​Jerez de la Frontera, including the entire urban area and all the rural area, rural neighborhoods and local autonomous entities that are part of it, following the passage of the DANA through the city of Jerez de la Frontera Frontera la Frontera, collect the letter.

At the same time, the Town Hall indicates that the different municipal areas are carrying out inspection and compilation work of all the damage caused by DANA and an economic evaluation of these.
