Trump called Israel a “mortal threat”

Former US President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has reiterated his “firm stance” against Iran’s development of nuclear weapons, calling it the “greatest threat” to Israel’s existence.

In an interview on Fox News’ Life, Liberty and Levin, Trump stressed that Iran’s nuclear weapons would threaten Israel’s very existence. “I don’t want to antagonize Iran… but they shouldn’t have nuclear weapons,” he said, adding: “If they do, Israel will be finished. They won’t be.”

Trump also expressed concern about the rise of anti-Semitism in US foreign policy and criticised current President Joe Biden for his soft approach towards Iran. According to Trump, this policy allowed Tehran to circumvent US sanctions and strengthen its financial capacity to support terrorist groups such as Hamas.

The former president recalled his 2018 decision to withdraw the United States from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) to resolve Iran’s nuclear program. He reiterated that it was a “bad deal” that failed to effectively counter Iran’s missile program and its destabilizing activities in the Middle East.

Previously, Kursor wrote that the media had misrepresented Biden’s reaction to Hamas’s killing of six hostages.
