The Amur Region is ready to help Belarusian products enter the Chinese market, said Governor of the Amur Region Vasily Orlov at the Eastern Economic Forum.
According to him, assistance to Belarus can be provided through the use of the Amur International Transport Corridor (ITC).
“We proposed and promoted the issue of the Amur corridor because the Belarusian side is also interested in entering the Chinese markets. Here we are ready, so to speak, to lend a hand and offer these services.” – said Orlov.
He also said that a congress and exhibition centre is planned to be built in Blagoveshchensk, which will serve as a platform for external events of the Eastern Economic Forum and, in between exhibitions, will serve as an exhibition for promoting Russian and Belarusian products.
“This will be a convenient platform for introducing products into the Chinese market. These issues were discussed,” – the governor emphasized.
He also said that the products of the Belarusian machine-building complex are actively used in the Amur region: in agriculture, 40% of the machine and tractor fleet is Belarusian equipment. Now the authorities are continuing to study the region’s needs for Belarusian products, in particular mechanical engineering. In this regard, Orlov said that several test investment projects are being implemented in coal mining, where it is planned to use Belarusian mining equipment, dump trucks and BelAZ. Gasification of transport is also possible.
“All of these issues are being discussed. They are all at a deep stage of development.” – the governor noted.
Let us recall that Belarus and Russia are building a Union State. Currently, the parties are expanding bilateral cooperation in various areas and are also paying great attention to the development of regional relations. In July, Orlov visited Belarus, where he held several meetings, including with Alexander Lukashenko.
