He PDM Steering Committee was informed this Tuesday morning of this decision which will respond to the increase in demand for the new programming of activities, since 3,107 registrations were formalized on the first day. The sports advisor, Ruben Lozano, assessed “very positively” the “very significant” increase in the number of registrations processed for the activities of the Municipal Sports Council on the day the deadline opened.

In the first 24 hours, the council processed 3,107 registrations, compared to 2,488 registrations in 2022; which means 500 additional registrations. A fact that reflects the support of citizens for the new offer launched by the Municipal Sports Council.
To meet this increase in demand, the Municipal Sports Commission will expand the number of places on offer for the season by 10%, which will mean an increase compared to the initial offer of activities, of 700 places.
The offer will open next Friday, September 6th at 9:00 a.m. and those registered will be able to register online on the PDM web platform and in person at the new points activated this year to reach all neighborhoods, namely the Gymnastics School Pavilions (PDM stand next to the works); Santa Barbara; Santa María de Benquerencia and in the Salto del Caballo, Casco Histérico and Azucaica swimming pools.
Lozano thanked PDM staff for their work “which must have multiplied from the first day” to resolve incidents caused by high demand, which were resolved throughout the morning. In addition, the system was affected by the national drop in Unicaja Banco Platformwhich caused errors in the payment process and the blocking of these places for 15 minutes, as well as difficulties in verifying the registration of some citizens.
Likewise, the sports advisor assured that with the expansion of places there would be an agile response to all PDM users.
