According to APA, the incident occurred on the section of the Kura River that passes through the territory of the Garanuy village in the region.
Rescuers, police and emergency medical teams intervened in the area.
The person who drowned in Kur is reported to be Yagub Elbrus oghlu Alakbarov, a resident of Chaparli village of the district, born in 2007.
Eshgin Gasimov, chief inspector of the Ganja regional group of the MIA press service, said that the Shamkir district police department received information about the drowning of a person in the section of the Kura River that passes through the district. Currently, police officers have been involved in that area.
