A 24-year-old girl died following an accident that occurred on Sunday afternoon in the Cordoban town of Puente Genil, as sources from the municipality’s Town Hall confirmed to Europa Press. Witnesses to the event claim that the driver of the vehicle fled.
According to sources from Emergencies 112 Andalucía to Europa Press, around 8 p.m. they received several notices announcing that a woman had been crushed at the intersection of Clara Campoamor Street and Europa Avenue . Witnesses, reported from 112, added that the driver of the vehicle causing the accident had fled.
After that, the coordination center activated the number 061 of the Local Police and Health Emergencies, which confirmed that the injured woman was a 24-year-old girl who had been transferred first to the High Performance Hospital Center (Chare ) from Puente Genil, to then be transferred to the Reina Sofía Hospital in the provincial capital. The Civil Guard and local police are currently investigating what happened.
