Rahim, born in 1979 in the Absheron region, raped Sabina, his neighbor’s young daughter (names withheld – ed.).

To satisfy his sexual desire in the courtyard of a private residence, Rahim took advantage of the helpless situation of Sabina, born in 2014, and performed disgusting sexual acts against her.
Rahim was charged by the investigative body under article 150.3.3 of the Penal Code (committing acts of sexual violence against a person under fourteen years of age).
“I fed the chickens, I did my chores”
Rahim, who testified as a defendant in the criminal case, pleaded not guilty to the charges announced to him. He said in his testimony that he returned from work and sent his relatives there because his wife was mourning at his brother’s house, but he stayed home.
“I have chickens in the yard, I have a small dog. Since the chickens were not in their place, I went out and asked about the chickens, the neighbors said they were here. I went back to the yard and fed them, I went inside and ate my food .I went out when someone knocked on the door and the children said that the chickens were at our door. They chased them and let them in.
Two sisters, Sabina and Konul, entered the yard with me while I put the chickens inside. Then they asked me where the dog was and asked me to play with it. They had sausages and bread in their hands. “I gave the dog to my sisters to play with, I went in and fed the chickens, I did my job.”
“Her husband said he would come”
The defendant said that after the chick came down from the roof, he saw that Sabina’s face was covered in dust and dirt: “It got dirty while playing with the dog. I lifted Sabina’s head with my left arm and cleaned her face.” with my right arm.” At that time, her sister was with her and the door was open.

After the children left, about half an hour passed. Their mother came and asked me what I did to her children. I said I didn’t do anything. “No, you did something to my children,” the neighbor said. I also insisted that I did nothing wrong against his children.

“He tried to hurt me with a knife”
According to Rahim’s testimony, a few hours later, when it got dark, they started hitting and kicking the door: “Latifgil broke the door and came in. Latif asked me what I had done to the child. Even Latif’s friend tried to hurt me with a knife, but they didn’t allow it.”
The accused said that he has been a neighbor of Latifgil for about 2-3 years, Latif’s family has lived in this area since before: “His house and mine are next to each other, we are next-door neighbors. Rahim noted that about an hour after the children’s mother left, the children’s father, Latif, the latter’s friend and nephew, arrived: “Latifgil asked me if I had acted ‘immorally’ with the child. I denied what he said.” The children’s parents said and I told them that I had not done anything. At that moment the three jumped on me and started hurting me.
I didn’t apologize to Latifgil. Latifgil beat me for about half an hour. Furthermore, when I was beaten, immoral actions were committed against me. The day I was beaten, I filed a report with the police. I didn’t know the reason why the other party slandered me. “My family members will return home on the morning of the 12th of the month.”
“I reported that they beat me”
Rahim said that after being beaten, he complained to the Ministry of Interior’s 102 call center and said that he was beaten because of the child: “The investigator came to my house one month and ten days after the incident, and I don’t know why.” The researcher arrived so late.
When the investigator got home, there were no more traces of blood. Only the trace of blood on the wall was known. Since there are small children at home, I didn’t keep the blood traces at home, I cleaned them up. They took my clothes off about 15 days after the incident. “During that time, my clothes were washed because there were traces of blood on me, and when I presented the clothes to the investigator, I informed him that the clothes were washed.”

According to Sabina, who testified as a victim in the case, her neighbor Rahim’s chicken disappeared while she was playing with her sister Konüll in the yard:
“Together with my sister, I found Rahimgil’s chicken, I went there to take the chicken to the neighbor’s yard. We put the chicken in the chicken coop. Then my sister went out and I was alone in Rahimgil’s yard.

“My mother was at home, not in the store”
In her statement, the minor victim said that she was not eating sausage bread at the time of the incident, there was no dog in the neighbor’s yard and she was not playing with the dog: “At the time of the incident, my mother was not in the store , but at home. My mother did not give me sausage bread. The incident occurred in a neighbor’s yard near the door. There are about 2 steps between the door and us.
My sister went out first, I stayed in the yard to help. Rahim did not invite me into the house, he did not give me toys and he did not offer me anything else.
I told my mother about this incident when we were sitting at the table. “After the incident, I didn’t go out to play in the yard.”
This criminal case was heard in the Sumgayit Serious Crimes Court.
According to the court verdict, Rahim was sentenced to 10 years in prison. It was determined that he will serve his sentence in a strict regime penitentiary center.
