At least two people died and an unknown number of people were injured in a rear-end collision between multiple vehicles during the night of this Saturday on the regional road of the Region of Murcia RM-12, as confirmed to Europa Press by sources from the emergency service 112 Region of Murcia.
The road accident occurred near El Algar, city of Cartagena, towards La Manga. The two deceased people are two women about 40 years, according to the Regional Emergency Coordination Center 112.
After the multiple collision between several vehicles, a car ran away. Emergency services were sent to the scene, including firefighters, who will carry out cleaning tasks in the affected areas of the road, and the Civil Guard, who will be responsible for the investigation.
The identity of the person who fled is currently unknown. The number 112 recommended looking for alternative routes and facilitating access to emergency services.
