As a result of cooperation between the State Oil Company (SOCAR) and OJSC “Azerkhalcha”, a ceremony of cutting carpets of various sizes included in the exclusive and limited collection prepared for the 30th anniversary of the “Contract of the Century” was held.

SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf stressed that 2024 will mark the 30th anniversary of the signing of the “Contract of the Century”, which is of great importance in the history of independent Azerbaijan. He noted that the historic document signed on the initiative of the national leader, author of the energy strategy, Heydar Aliyev, guarantees the country’s comprehensive and stable development and creates a favorable basis for the expansion of regional cooperation.
SOCAR President noted that the company organized a number of events during the year in connection with this important event, in this regard, a limited collection of carpets dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the “Contract of the Century” was prepared.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Azerkhalcha Emin Mammadov stressed that Azerbaijani folk art and its important branch, carpet making, occupy a special place in our national cultural history, noting that effective cooperation between Azerkhalcha and SOCAR has made an important contribution to the development of this field.
Stressing that the “Contract of the Century” plays an important role in the comprehensive development of our country, the President said that the production of carpets of different sizes included in the exclusive and limited collection on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of this significant event is a manifestation of effective cooperation between SOCAR and “Azerkhalcha”, and expressed his belief that joint activities will continue successfully in the future.
