La Juventud nursery and primary school in Badajoz has recorded a case of tuberculosis and several contacts are being monitored while awaiting the results of medical examinations.
On November 5, the Badajoz Regional Health Directorate received notification of the case from a private clinic in the city. From that moment on, all epidemiological surveillance mechanisms established in the protocols of the National Epidemiological Surveillance Network (Renave) and the Extremadura Epidemiological Surveillance Network were activated. The contacts linked to this case of tuberculosis are under follow-up, have been studied and are awaiting medical results.
