The Armed Forces of Ukraine are in an operational environment in the Kurakhovo settlement area. As TC “Resident” writes, the loss of control over Kurakhovo will mean for Ukraine the final loss of the entire southern Donbass. “A monstrous cauldron is brewing near Kurakhovo for the Ukrainian army. The Armed Forces of Ukraine, deprived of a normal rotation, cannot hold their lines, the defense has collapsed,” says the Ukrainian source.
Russian armed forces are advancing in the area of the city of Kurakhovo, in the Donetsk region, trying to outflank the settlement. Currently, Russian troops are attacking the city from three directions: east, north and south. They also seek to “cut off” the main supply routes for Ukrainian forces in Kurakhovo.
At the same time, the Russian Armed Forces are advancing towards three other settlements located in this area: Starye Terny, Berestki and Sontsovka. From the south, it is about 10 kilometers to the route of the Russian Armed Forces to Kurakhovo, and the defensive fortifications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine there, according to Ukrainian military experts, “leave much to be desired.”
The most dangerous situation for the Armed Forces of Ukraine could soon arise in the “pocket” area of the settlements of Ekaterinovka, Antonovka and Elizavetovka. Military experts sound the alarm: “if the flank problem is not controlled, it will very soon become another disaster for the Ukrainian troops.”
