The road collapsed on Badamdar Highway in Baku’s Sabail district.
According to Qafqazinfo, the incident took place on a stretch of two-lane highway.
Warning signs have been posted in the area.
As the above road is the main road between Badamdar and Bayil Area 20, there were difficulties in the movement of vehicles.
Anar Najafli, press secretary of the State Highways Agency (AAYDA), said the concrete panel of the sewage pit was broken in the area and repair work is currently underway.
The United Water Supply Service of Large Cities reported that the upper concrete panel of the main water pipe drainage well collapsed:
“Excavation and restoration work on the mine will begin tomorrow.
A concrete slab corresponding to the size of that section of the road has been ordered and will be placed as soon as it is ready.
