The Main Military Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has opened a criminal case against former Deputy Minister of Civil Defense, Emergency Situations and Disaster Relief of the Russian Federation Pavel Baryshev under the article “fraud committed on a large scale.”
According to the Sledkom telegram channel, Baryshev is charged under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
“The investigation established that from 2017 to 2019, Baryshev prepared false documents indicating that he had the right to provide housing, on the basis of which he stole a three-room apartment in the Moscow region worth at least 20 million rubles. The court confiscated the apartment stolen by Baryshev.” – the department said in a statement.
The criminal investigation continues.
