A dispute over Internet service in a shared apartment in Oviedo ended last week with a violent fight that left three people injured, according to police sources. One of the students suffered phalanx amputation of the little finger after being bitten, another was punched in the face and a young woman was hit with the song of an ax on the forehead.
The incident took place in a house in Pumarin district, where they lived together five students. According to investigations, the problem started when the Wi-Fi stopped working. One of the young women tried to resolve the problem by calling the company from her bedroom, accompanied by two colleagues, which triggered a discussion with another resident on the floor.
The atmosphere quickly intensified until the latter He burst into the room with an axe. In a tense moment, he hit the young woman on the forehead with the edge of his weapon. The attacked person, in response, threw the attacker’s cell phone to the ground, breaking it. Amid the chaos, another student tried to intervene and struggled with the attacker, who ended up biting his finger until a knuckle was amputated. The latter reacted by punching his partner in the face.
Police intervention
The fight ended when another tenant alerted the National Police. The officers, upon arriving at the scene, discovered blood stains in the gate and on the stairs of the building. The three injured were transported to Central University Hospital of Asturias to receive medical care.
After the events, hePolice arrested two of those involved. Both face charges of misdemeanor assault, and one of them also faces threats involving the use of an axe. They were released on certain charges, although a restraining order was placed on one of them.
