A video of a firefighter driving a burning fuel tanker away from the site where a car carrying gasoline exploded is circulating on the Internet. The fuel truck moves away from the parking lot amidst smoke while the firefighters continue to pour water into the tank and stops about fifty meters from the gas tanker that has exploded.
The driver was the deputy head of the guard shift of the fire and rescue squadron No. 1 of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in Crimea. Grigori Bodunov. He said that after the gas tanker explosion, the rear wheels of the truck caught fire.
“Luckily, the keys were in the ignition. “We decided to move away from the car to avoid an explosion.” – said the savior.
On the afternoon of November 12, a gas tanker exploded in an industrial area on the outskirts of Simferopol and a fire broke out in a nearby tanker truck.
“The gas tanker is burning in 50 square meters. The fire spread to the second tank, 2 more are being cooled by employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. “Two people were hospitalized.” – reported the Crimean department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
According to him, 29 firefighters and 10 teams were at the scene. It took about two hours to turn off.
