A group of Ukrainian servicemen from units of the 79th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, operating in the Kurakhovsky direction, voluntarily surrendered to the Russian army.
As the Telegram channel “People’s Militia of the DPR” reported on October 12, this was possible thanks to propaganda leaflets dropped on their positions by drone operators of the Russian Armed Forces.
“This process was recorded on video, which highlights the organization and massive nature of what was happening.” – says the message.
It should be noted that the surrender was a collective decision of a group of militants from the 79th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They expressed dissatisfaction with the difficult service conditions, including the need to purchase uniforms and other necessary items at their own expense.
Once captured, the militants said the lack of command support and unbearable conditions on the front caused confusion and discontent among Ukrainian military personnel.
