A heart donor in the United States woke up during an organ harvesting operation.

The Kentucky resident was taken to the operating room to have his organs removed and only then did doctors realize he was alive.
The man was hospitalized for a drug overdose. Resuscitation measures did not help him and he was taken to a special room because he expressed his desire to be a donor, and during the operation it was found that the person was alive. After that, two doctors refused to operate.
According to one of the experts, when the doctors saw signs of life, they contacted the management and asked them to find another doctor to do it.
He also added that on the day of the incident the man underwent a procedure to evaluate the condition of his heart. During the procedure he began to move, but they injected him with a sedative and continued with preparations to remove the organ.
Meanwhile, the institution accused of being indifferent to the fate of the living donor denies everything. They said they did not put pressure on the doctors who operated from the institution.
