The Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, expressed his opinion on international cooperation against global climate change, the initiatives of the countries of the region in this direction and the importance of implementing joint projects in the field of renewable energies.
Jim Huay Neo, Executive Director of the World Economic Forum and moderator of the session, emphasized that the transition to zero carbon emissions creates great opportunities for economic growth and job creation, as well as the importance of a joint and comprehensive approach to ensure a just life. distribution of benefits and costs.
Rich Lesser, global president of Boston Consulting Group and co-chair of the CEO Climate Leaders Alliance, noted that between 2019 and 2022 they managed to reduce their total level of emissions by 10%, while increasing their total revenues by 18%. the importance of closer cooperation with states. The parties emphasized the need for joint actions at the global level to resolve the climate crisis. All governments, companies and civil society organizations are called to accept shared responsibility and join the fight against climate change with concrete action plans.
