Fernando Aramburu is not dead: the information circulating on social networks and even in certain media about the death of the author of Patria following a heart attack is a hoax. The 65-year-old writer is fortunately still alive.
Even the publisher with whom Fernando Aramburu publishes, Tusquets, had to deny this (false) information given the imminent interest suddenly aroused by the name of the writer, who is massively mentioned on the Web. Tusquets actually used his Twitter account (now X) to clarify the situation:
