A hotline has been opened in the Tver region to evacuate residents of the Toropets district, announced after a fire broke out as a result of falling debris from unmanned aerial vehicles, the district administration reports.
Early on Wednesday, the regional government reported that a fire had started in Toropets as a result of falling debris from unmanned aerial vehicles while repelling an attack by air defense forces, the fire was being extinguished. Governor Igor Rudenya decided to partially evacuate the population.
“On behalf of Governor Igor Rudeni, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Tver region has organized a hotline for the evacuation of residents of the Toropetsky district. Operators will answer questions at (4822) 390982,” – reads a message on the page of the administration of the Toropetsk municipal district on the VKontakte social network.
The administration also noted that the situation is under control and urged residents not to post images of the UAV crash site for safety reasons.
