A large quantity of narcotics was prevented from passing through the customs border

Employees of the State Customs Committee prevented the passage of a large amount of narcotics across the customs border of Azerbaijan.

Oku.Az reports that the State Security Council has published information in this regard.

It was reported that at the “Bilasuvar” customs post of the Bilasuvar Customs Department of the SSC, a customs inspection was carried out on a cargo vehicle driven by a Russian citizen, which was transporting cargo of “lettuce” from Iran to Russia in transit through the territory of Azerbaijan.

During the inspection carried out based on the reaction of the canine service dog, a large quantity of 10 kilograms 360 grams of dried marijuana was found inside the cargo, hidden from customs control, packaged in 10 packages wrapped in aluminum foil.

The incident is being investigated.
