A man beats his wife in Astarada: “I suspected that she was having contact with strange men”

Parvin, born in 1979 in the Astara region, injured his wife Sabina (names provisionally provided – ed.) during a dispute arising from personal relationships.

According to Demokrat.az, the incident took place in one of the villages in the Astara region. Parvin kicked his wife Sabina in the left knee joint and left thigh area during a personal argument between him and his wife Sabina in the home they shared.

The perpetrator of the incident, Parvin, was charged under article 128 of the Criminal Code (intentional harm to health).

Parvin, who testified as a defendant in the criminal case, pleaded guilty to the charge announced to him. He stated in his testimony that he officially married Sabina in 2007 and has two minor children from their joint marriage:

“My wife Sabina works as a nanny in a village nursery and on her days off she goes to the Jalilabad district to pick strawberries in the fields. I objected to Sabina going to pick strawberries. However, Sabina did not listen to me. That’s why “There was a disagreement between us. “I suspected that Sabina was communicating with strange men on the phone.”

The accused stated that on the day of the incident, when they were at his home around 11 p.m., he told Sabina that he suspected she was talking to strangers on the phone: “Sabina said she was not talking to anyone on the phone.” She was rude to me. That’s why he got angry and hit me during the argument between us and I kicked him in different parts of his body, his left knee and his left thigh. It didn’t happen.”

According to Sabina, who declared as a victim in the case, she works as a nanny in the daycare center of the village where she lives with her husband: “On my days off, I go to the Jalilabad region to pick strawberries in the fields with the women of the village. Because Parvin objected to me going strawberry picking because she was jealous of me, there was a disagreement between us on the day of the incident, when we were at the house where we lived around the 23rd, “you contact. strange men on the phone,” Parvin says I told myself, “I don’t keep in touch with anyone,” and that’s why Parvin punched and kicked me on the left thigh.

This criminal case was heard in the Astara District Court. The court took into account the fact that the accused reconciled with the victim and that she did not complain about him. For this reason, the criminal proceedings against Parvin were terminated. He was exempt from criminal responsibility.
