A man killed his wife early this Sunday in Estepa (Seville) then committed suicide. The events took place in a house on Granada Street, according to the Diario de Sevilla, which reports that the bodies have already been transferred to the Institute of Legal Medicine of Seville. The Civil Guard took charge of the investigation.
It was the youngest of the two children (11 years old), present in the house at the time, who informed a relative of what had happened, according to the Sevillian newspaper. The murder was allegedly committed using a hunting rifle.
In the absence of official confirmation, this is the second sexist assassination committed in the province of Seville this year, after that last August where a man stabbed his wife to death in the Pino Montano district. The alleged attacker then injured himself and was arrested by the national police.
