THE Civil Guard from Paiporta (Valencia) to arrested a 56-year-old man for allegedly stab with a knife on his women53 years old. Both denied the attack as an accidental incident during an argument.
While the arrested man said the injury was caused by a fall, his alleged victim insisted she caused it herself during the struggle, even though the history has been implausible for the civil guards. The injury occurred in the backbetween a lung and a shoulder, and investigators found signs of inconsistencies in the man’s testimony.
The woman was transferred to a hospital in Valencia and has “favorable prognosis“.
There were no complaints or history that would have led to suspicions of mistreatment prior to this event, but the investigation aims to clarify whether this is a possible case of gender-based violence.
This happened this Thursday around 9:30 p.m. in the town of Paiporta, after a man allegedly stabbed his wife, for which he was arrested, according to sources from the Civil Guard.
The Emergency Information and Coordination Center (USIC) mobilized a unit of the SAMUwho treated the 53-year-old woman for a stab wound and she was transferred to a hospital in Valencia.
