According to the department, the man was caught red-handed while preparing to commit sabotage. He seized an explosive device from his hiding place and planned to blow up a railway infrastructure facility in the region. The Russian was found guilty under art. 275, part 2 art. 205.5, part 3 art. 30, paragraph “a”, part 2, art. 281, paragraph “a”, “c”, part 3 of art. 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
“According to the verdict of the Second Western District Military Court, he was found guilty of committing these crimes. He was sentenced to 16 years in prison, three years in prison and the rest to a maximum security correctional colony, with a restriction of freedom of one year and a fine of 400 thousand rubles. — informs the press service in a statement.
