A man who saw his wife having an intimate correspondence with another person in Baku was horrified

The next session of the trial against Nureddin Mammadov, who strangled his wife to death, was held in the Ramana settlement.

Bizim.Media reports that the accused gave evidence in the trial presided over by Judge Mahira Karimova at the Baku Serious Crimes Court.

He said the incident was based on treason:

“On May 5, I left my job as a maintenance person early because it was windy and I didn’t inform my family. I entered the house through the back door because I already had suspicions. When I got to the door of the room, I heard him talking with someone and say, “No, I can’t show up. When I entered, I saw someone in unethical clothing talking. When he took the phone from her hand, he turned off the call. When I called the same number again, a guy answered and turned it off at the same time.

I said, well, why are you talking? He said let’s go to the other room so the kids don’t hear. After he died, he started insulting and threatening me. He said that the man he spoke to with his sister is coming, that he will throw a psychotropic substance at the house and arrest me. So I warned him. But he continued with his insults. I started to strangle him in anger. When I regained consciousness, I saw that I had already stopped breathing. So I called my brother. I told him the incident. Immediately after hanging up, I called the police and turned myself in. “I waited for the police officers to arrive at the scene.”

Nuraddin Mammadov added that he and Aysha got married of their own free will:

“We married for love. We got together and ran away, and then we informed the families. After the families were reconciled, the wedding took place.”

He also said that there is no problem between them.

“Such a case did not happen in the first 5 years. At the end of January this year, I discovered that he was talking to someone. I saw him talking on the phone. When I tried to take it from his hand, he ran to the kitchen and turned off the phone. Then I saw that he deleted the “WhatsApp” application.

Then he went to the district and when he returned he didn’t have his phone. Even then, he didn’t stop. I saw that he was texting on my phone at night. I was asking why. He said it was a mistake, I did it since I was little. But I could see that he repeated the same act over and over again. Then I connected Ayesha’s phone’s Gmail addresses to my phone. I saw that you save all your correspondence from the screen. Every time I asked him about them, he said, “It’s up to you.”

I couldn’t take it anymore and hit him. I also informed his mother about this matter. He said I talked to my daughter, everything is fine. I said come and solve the problem, I will also pay the travel cost. He didn’t come. I didn’t tell him anything because I respected his father. But I informed his brother.

This case reached the point of divorce. In February I applied to the court and said I wanted to get divorced due to infidelity. On February 26 our case would be heard in court. But the night before we reconciled at the insistence of his family.”

The defendant said his friend had no complaints about him.

“Ayesha never had any financial complaints. I bought her a set of clothes at every wedding. I never bought a set of suits.”

Later, Namaz Ibrahimov, legal heir and father of the victim, declared:

“My son has not had problems with his partner for 5 years. Nureddin’s brother ruined everything. Every time he came to my niece’s house, there were rumors. He always came and collected everything he found in our house. He never brought nothing when she came to my house. Complaint I didn’t know what she said. No one could say bad things about her.

The accused asked the legal heir why he did not take action when he was informed of the betrayal.

At the time, the witness said there was no such conversation. Nureddin was drunk when he spoke to her on the phone. Namaz Ibrahimov clarified doubts about the divorce: “When I asked her about the divorce, my daughter told me that Nureddin goes drinking with his aunt’s son and creates rumors at home.”

The legal heir added that no reconciliation had been achieved.

The meeting was postponed until October 24.

It should be noted that, according to the prosecution, on April 28 this year, Nureddin Mammadov saw his wife Aysha Mammadov talking to an unknown person via WhatsApp while he was at their home in the Ramana settlement.

He became enraged, assuming that his wife had betrayed him since he had discovered that she had had affairs with other people several times before. Nureddin took the phone from his wife’s hand, hit her on the head, pushed her off her chest and then grabbed the kitchen knife.

He hit Ayesha once in the groin area with the handle of the knife, causing slight damage to her health.

Nureddin came home on May 5 this year and after seeing his wife Ayesha’s WhatsApp conversation and correspondence about having an intimate relationship with a person named Ilgar, he became convinced that Ayesha was cheating on him.

After arguing with his wife, Nureddin entered the kitchen, suddenly grabbed her by the neck with both hands, threw her to the floor and strangled her to death. Nureddin Mammadov was charged with articles 120.1 (intentional homicide) and 128 (intentional minor harm to health) of the Criminal Code.
