A Parliamentary Meeting within the framework of COP29 was held in Baku on November 16, jointly organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Oku.Az reports that during the event a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace.
The document was signed by the President of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova on behalf of Azerbaijan, and by the President of the World Council for Tolerance and Peace, Ahmed Mohammad Aljarvan, on behalf of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace.
Milli Majlis Speaker Sahiba Gafarova highlighted the importance of the document and emphasized that the Memorandum of Understanding will strengthen cooperation between the Parliament of Azerbaijan and the International Parliament for Peace, which is the parliamentary dimension of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace.
